The bloke behind Drink To That
I’m Jamie Ryder, author, drinks nerd, philosophy geek and copywriter. My drinking tastes are pretty eclectic and that’s a big part of why I’ve started up this newsletter. I’m just as happy sipping Japanese sake and shochu as I am chugging craft beer. I also like swigging mead like a Viking, savouring whisky and bourbon and knocking back rum and gin.
I love copywriting for hospitality businesses and helping them share stories with their audience. I provide long and short-form copy, covering blogging, website writing, content strategy, brand tone of voice creation, social media writing, white papers and more.
As part of my drink nerdery, I’m a certified Sake Sommelier Association sake sommelier and International Kikisakeshi.
I have a deep interest in Japanese culture and drinks and educate people over at Yamato Magazine. I’m also the author of Japanese Fighting Heroes: Warriors, Samurai and Ronins.
